Saadaa Bhaat – Plain Rice in Pressure Cooker

 

1 ¼ cup chokhaa (rice)

1 ¾ cup pani (water)

 

1.                   Rinse rice in warm water.

2.                   Add the measured water.

3.                   Fill a pressure cooker with 1" of water.

4.                   Put the rice and water in an uncovered container in the pressure cooker. 

5.                   Seal the cooker and add weight.

6.                   Cook until the first whistle.

7.                   Remove from heat.

8.                   Wait 10 minutes before opening the pressure cooker.
