Kaandaa-Keri (Onion & Mango Salad)

 

1 cup                kaandaa (onions), chopped

1 cup                kaatchi keri (raw mango), peeled, pitted & chopped

1 teaspoon        marchu (cayenne pepper)

1 teaspoon        mithu (salt)

1 teaspoon        dhaanaa jiru

1 teaspoon        saaker (sugar)

¼ teaspoon       hardar (turmeric)

1/8 teaspoon     hing (asafetida)

1 teaspoon        tel (oil)

 

 

1.       Mix well

2.       Let it set for a couple of hours before serving.

 

Variations:  Replace mangoes with rhubarb or Granny Smith apples
