Kelaa-nu Raaitu (Banana & yogurt dip)

 

1 cup                dahi (plain yogurt)

1 teaspoon        rai (mustard seeds), lightly crushed

¼ teaspoon       mithu (salt)

3                      ripe bananas, sliced up

 

1.                   Lightly crush the mustard seeds, blowing away the black husks.

2.                   Add these to the yogurt, along with some salt. 

3.                   Add banana slices and mix well. 

4.                   Let it stand for about 3 hours before serving. 

 

The freshly ground mustard seeds adds a strong horseradish-like kick.
