Papaiyaa Marchaano Sambhaaro (Papaya & Pepper Salad)

 

1                      raw papaya

4                      green chilies

 

2 tablespoon      tel (oil)

¼ teaspoon       rai (mustard seeds)

¼ teaspoon       jiru (cumin seeds)

¼ teaspoon       hing (asafetida)

 

1 tablespoon      chanaa-no lot (chickpea flour)

3 teaspoon        limbu (lemon juice)

1 teaspoon        mithu (salt)

 

 

1.                   Slice the papaya & peppers. 

2.                   Heat oil. 

3.                   Add mustard seeds, asafetida & cumin seeds.  Wait till the seeds crackle. 

4.                   Add papaya and peppers. Saute for 30 seconds.

5.                   Add chickpea flour.  Saute for 1 minute.

6.                   Remove from heat, add salt and lemon juice to taste.
